2026 Spring Musical : Dreamland

The students involved in the Spring Musical work alongside Uni Theatre Arts director Ranae Bettger, Musical Director Rob Blaney, IUSD Theatre Technician Mitchel Simoncini and an amazing staff of industry professionals and volunteers to create memorable theatre experiences for the community.

This year’s Musical features 36 actors, 2 stage managers, 6 designers, 20 running crew members and a pit orchestra: all students at University High School.

Students wishing to earn volunteer hours and join our crew should see Miss Bettger in the Little Theatre for information.

Dreamland will perform March 5th-7th & March 12th-14th @ 7pm in the Big Theatre at University High School.

For this year’s Fall Play, Uni Theatre Arts will be presenting Romeo & Juliet by William Shakespeare on November 20th-22nd in the Big Theatre at University High School at 7pm.

Our production will feature contemporary emotions in a classical world. The students in our company have worked hard to ensure that through action, the story is clear to our audiences.

The 27 student actors and 23 student technicians involved in the Fall Play worked alongside Uni Theatre Arts director Ranae Bettger, IUSD Theatre Operational Technician Mitchel Simoncini and an amazing staff of industry professionals (Beylul Ephrem, Lauren Bee, Richard Soto and Kimberly Mason) to create this production.

2025 Summer Practicum: 35mm A Musical Exhibition

The Summer Practicum is an intense learning experience for the most passionate students involved with Uni Theatre Arts.

These students audition to participate in a small ensemble, student centric, learning opportunity tailored to prepare them for a career or collegiate experiences in the industry.

We understand that this viewing experience is unique, and that’s intentional. This type of material is not the usual for Uni Theatre Arts mainstage; however, it is important the students are able to develop in ways those productions simply do not allow. The opportunity to work on contemporary material and with such a small company allows each individual to truly shine and develop.

This year’s production of 35MM performed at University High School August 28th-30th, 2025 at 7pm in the Big Theatre.
